• Class location:  L.A.
• Tuition: $14,000 for 2 year.
• CCC sponsorship: First 3 weeks expenses of maximum $4000 ( $3500 + airfare) will be put into CCC 2010 budget.
• Deacon board recommend Pastor Wang to apply to Logos Seminary now to meet the  registration deadline.

2. Evaluation from Pastor Wang for Briant Chea

Briant is a nice person with serving heart and good serving ablity.  Briant has a good relationship with God & people.  Briant has a good spiritual gift who can draw people to God through his personal relationship with people.  We appreciate Brinat as a young man who has to bear heaving family burden.  Briant is very nice to his grandparents.  We hope in the future Briant will keep his loving heart to his family. Briant participated pastoral meeting.  Briant is a good planner in the youth ministry.  Total 14 plans in CCC.  Briant has 33 devotions posted on CCC blog.

Suggestion from Pastor Wang:

a)          Try to bring people to God. Continue doing devotion so Briant can have a good relationship with God. . Bring worry to God.  Briant still can send his devotion to Pastor Wang until he has another mentor.

b)          Keep the schedule: There were 3 times Briant did not come on Sunday to CCC without notice in time.  We hope Briant can improve in this area in the future.  People care about the responsibility,

c)          Keep the responsible quality.  Prepare a small note book to write down things needed to be remembered.

Pastor Wang,

I am willing to serve here as long as possible until the church can find a youth pastor. The next 3 months I will be able to come every Friday evening and Sundays. Of course there might be things that come up, but i was looking at my calender and I believe I am free for the next 3 months. I Will be attending school starting the week after labor day 9/14. I have classes Monday through Friday, 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. So I can not attend the weekly meetings on Tuesdays and Fridays with you pastor and Flora. I am also looking for a Part-time job to help out my household financially but it’s just on my mind though because I have to see how much work load the schooling will give me. I will try my best to do the best because I love these kids very much. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know this youth and I have gained a lot from them.

When we change our value in life, we may loss some opportunity, fortune or benefit in the word.  However, only focus at Jesus Christ, one day He will show us what we did today is not in vain.

Joint retreat:

Need brothers & sisters’ participation.  Roster is on pastoral meeting minutes.

PPT:  Thomas will coordinate the ppt for all churches.  Flora will ask every church to provide their song ppt to Thomas before 8/30.  Flora will ask Rev. Lam if he will prepare ppt.

Night time fellowship: To be discussed on this Friday’s ministry meeting.

Church sponsorship: Albert will contact Michael & Winnie, Thomas will contact Mr. Jiang, Jien-Shen, Pastor Wang will contact Amy Laing & Charles Lee.

1. Pastor Sabbatical Report

Deacon board’s sharing: Due to church’s current situation, deacons hope Pastor Wang to stay at CCC to stabilize the church.  Suggest Pastor Wang to take 3 weeks to 1 month vacation.

Pastor Wang & Pauline will consider Deacon board’s suggestion & let deacon board know as soon as possible.

Sabbatical is every 7 years serving. Logos seminary正道神學院 教牧學博士1/15/10-2/5/10 3 weeks class twice a year(6 weeks a year).  3 courses at a time.  $14,000 for 2 year.

Waterbury mission is $4000 under budget.  Sandy will e-mail the expenses details to deacon board & finance dept.  Next year we may consider to go to Waterbury mission again.  Pray for this vision.

4. Dates: 10/9-10 Friday & Sat.  Starts from Friday 5:30pm for dinner.  Finish by Sat. after dinner.
5. Speakers: Dr. Sabrina Li (master of music in seminary), Dr. Tim Studstill from BGCT (worship & music ministry), Jair Compose (BGCT staff in music & worship)

9. Location: Mt. Levanon Baptist camp, Duncanville

11. Goal: To gather small CBC music leaders to have fellowship & exchange experience. Helping small churches music leaders to enrich their serving attitude, worship concept, worship design, meaning of worship, whole picture of worship, understanding their role in leading the worship.    1. Brother Briant will participate with Pastor Wang preparing the materials for the baptism class.
   2. Briant will participate the Labor Day joint retreat on 9/5-7.
   3. Sunday school teaching:
   4. i.                6/7: Briant will teach Sunday school using the book “7 check points”.
   5. ii.                After 6/7, Briant will teach the youth life based topics with one book in the bible.
      1. Friday night fellowship: Briant will let us know by this Friday the teaching contents.
      2. Compensation: BGCT will match dollar for dollar CCC total of $1200.  So BGCT will send CCC a check for $1200.  The total amount Briant will receive will be $2400.
      3. Visitation time to Briant’s family: 6/10 Next Wed. after 3 or 4pm on weekdays.

Suggestion from Sister Cerina:

Since the VBS at CCC (6/15-6/19) got canceled, certainly the original plan for 6/19/09 as outreach children with their parents got vanished as well.  One alternative for your consideration, we could have a “Family Movie Night”.  Find a good Christian movie put the post and give away fries invite neighbors come (door to door invitations).  Church will provide free popcorn and icy water. Make it fun, such as ticket booth, make the tray for popcorn and drinks.  What do you think?

謝謝竹瑛姊妹服事主的心，我們相信這份感動是出於神，願神厚報。  然而，在我的禱告和領受當中，有一件事是更加迫在眉睫，就是領袖們的信心重建。

我建議舉辦一個教會領袖週末培靈營，比如說禮拜五晚上出發，禮拜六晚上回來。(6/19, 20 或6/26, 27) 由健健姊妹負責統籌營會的地點及安排。

Pastor Wang’s response:

I thank Sister Cerina’s serving heart.  We trust Cerina’s serving heart is from the Holy Spirit’s touch.  May our Lord bless her abundantly.  However, in my prayer and receiving, there is one thing which is more urgent.  That is to re-establish leaders’ faith.

I suggest to have a spiritual formation camp on the weekend.  We may leave on Friday night and come back on Sat. night. (6/19, 20 or 6/26, 27)  Sister Jian to be in charge of coordinating the location and details.

   1. Dress code: To avoid causing unnecessary temptation and distractions, please dress appropriately for short term mission.  That means wearing pants that are no higher than the knees and wearing pants that are waist level verses below the waist.  All shirts must overlap the waist and not be too tight fitting.  Exposed midriffs will not be allowed.  Tank tops are permitted, but no tube tops or spaghetti tops unless they are covered by a shirt.  If you are wearing something inappropriate, Pastor Wang will ask you to change into something more appropriate.
