第五課  默想

 

1.      Contents of meditation默想的內容:

A.                          God’s characters神的屬性

a)23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

因為世人都犯了罪、虧缺了神的榮耀。(Roman羅3:23)

 

b)45 I am the LORD who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy.我是把你們從埃及地領出來的耶和華、要作你們的　神、所以你們要聖潔、因為我是聖潔的。(利Leviticus11:45)

 

c)    23 The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.論 到 全 能 者 、 我 們 不 能 測 度 ． 他 大 有 能 力 、 有 公 平 和 大 義 、 必 不 苦 待 人 。(伯Job 37:23)

 

d)   6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,耶 和 華 在 他 面 前 宣 告 說 、 耶 和 華 、 耶 和 華 、 是 有 憐 憫 、 有 恩 典 的 　 神 、 不 輕 易 發 怒 、 並 有 豐 盛 的 慈 愛 和 誠 實 。(出Exodus 34:6)

e)    18 Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.神 阿 、 有 何 神 像 你 、 赦 免

f)    6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.耶穌說、我就是道路、真理、生命．若不藉著我、沒有人能到父那裡去。  (約John  14:6)

B.                      God’s words神的話語

8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; _________________ on it day and night, so that you may be ______________ to do everything written in it. Then you will be _______________ and _________________.

這 律 法 書 不 可 離 開 你 的 口 ． 總 要 晝 夜 思 想 、 好 使 你 謹 守 遵 行 這 書 上 所 寫 的 一 切 話 ． 如 此 你 的 道 路 就 可 以 亨 通 、 凡 事 順 利 。(書Joshua 1:8)

 

 

C.                           God’s work & creation神的作為與創造

20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

自 從 造 天 地 以 來 、  神 的 永 能 和 神 性 是 明 明 可 知 的 、 雖 是 眼 不 能 見 、 但 藉 著 所 造 之 物 、 就 可 以 曉 得 、 叫 人 無 可 推 諉 ．(羅Roman 1:20)

 

D.    Purpose of meditation默想的目的

à        To know God’s characters: glory, holiness, mercy, mighty power, justness, righteousness, promise, forgiveness, honesty, integrity & etc.看清楚神的屬性：祂的榮耀、聖潔、慈愛、大能、公平、公義、憐憫、恩典、守約、赦罪、饒恕、恩慈、誠實、信實、完全、正直等。

à        To understand your relationship with God.  To enjoy God’s presence & give all the glory to God.明白自己與神的關係。享受與神同在的喜樂，以致於將一切的榮耀歸給神。

à        To know yourself better & see your current spiritual life.

更認識自我 ，看見自己屬靈的光景。

à        To know God’s will & to please Him.

明白如何成為神所喜悅的人。明白神的旨意。

à        To transform yourself from “self-centered” to “God-centered”.

從自我中心轉變為以神為中心。

à        To long for God deeply, not God’s gifts.

最深的渴望是神自己，而不是神所賜的各樣恩賜。

à        To love God more and get closer to God.更親近神、更愛神。

à        To become God’s good friend and establish deep friendship with God.成為神的好朋友，與上帝建立深厚的友誼。

 

 

E.     How to meditate on God & His words?如何默想神和神的話

When you think about a problem over and over again, it’s called “worry”. 

When you think about God’s words over and over again, it’s called “meditation”.  If you know how to worry, then you already know how to meditate on God’s words. [Rick Warren –  Purpose Driven Life]

 

當你反覆的想一個問題時，那叫做〝憂慮〞。當你反覆思想神的話語時，那叫做〝默想〞。如果你知道如何憂慮，你已經知道如何默想。(華理克牧師  標竿人生)

Class contents: Principles of spiritual growth from the bible.  To learn from believers’ testimonies & spiritual growth practice.

課程內容：由聖經中得到靈命成長的原則，並從信徒過去的屬靈成長見證中，吸取其精華，加上實際的操練。

 

Goal課程目的：

1.          To learn to receive God’s words through devotion.

學會靈修以領受神的話。

2.          To learn to write spiritual journal and practice God’s presence.

學會寫靈程札記以操練與神同在。

3.          To learn to adjust personal relationship with God.

學會調整與神的關係。

Lesson 1. To Meet the Captain of the Host of the LORD遇見耶和華軍隊的元帥

13Now it came about when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, ^(K)a man was standing opposite him with his sword drawn in his hand, and Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us or for our adversaries?”  14He said, “No; rather I indeed come now as captain of the host of the LORD.” And Joshua ^(L)fell on his face to the earth, and bowed down, and said to him, “What has my lord to say to his servant?” 15The captain of the LORD’S host said to Joshua, “^(M)Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so. (Joshua5:13-15)

13 約書亞靠近耶利哥的時候，舉目觀看，不料，有一個人手裏有拔出來的刀，對面站立。約書亞到他那裏，問他說：「你是幫助我們呢，是幫助我們敵人呢？」 14 他回答說：「不是的，我來是要作耶和華軍隊的元帥。」約書亞就俯伏在地下拜，說：「我主有甚麼話吩咐僕人。」15 耶和華軍隊的元帥對約書亞說：「把你腳上的鞋脫下來，因為你所站的地方是聖的。」約書亞就照著行了。(約書亞記5:13-15)

 

 

 

 

 

 

1.    What was Joshua’s focus?(Jericho or God)  What did Joshua expect when he saw the captain of the host of the LORD?

 

 

2.    What kind of attitude & action did Joshua have toward the captain of the host of the LORD?

 

 

3.    What did the Captain ask Joshua to do? 

 

4.    What does “take off your sandals” mean?  What does “sandals” imply?

 

 

5.    Whose promise did Joshua hold on to?

 

 

6.    What kind of relationship did Joshua have with God?

1.    What is my attitude toward God?

 

2.    What is my expectation from God?

 

 

3.    How is my prayer life?  When was the last time I experienced God’s faithfulness?

 

 

When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, God, if I don’t get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better. God didn’t put me on earth just to fulfill a to-do list. He’s more interested in what I am than what I do. That’s why we’re called human beings, not human doings.
